The NeuroGym line of rehabilitation equipment has been helping patients and clinicians across Canada and the U.S. for more than 20 years. Originally designed by Dr. Avinoam Nativ for use in his own clinic, www.neurogymrehab.com the equipment’s core design is based on the advances in our understanding of brain plasticity: the ability to relearn lost motor skills.
In 2006, NeuroGym Technologies Inc was founded to commercialize this unique line of neurorehabilitation equipment.
Dr. Nativ has 20 years experience in the field of neurological physical rehabilitation in both research and clinical capacities. A registered physiotherapist, he holds a doctoral degree in Kinesiology (Motor Control) from the University of Waterloo, and has additional post-doctoral training in neurological rehabilitation undertaken at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Nativ continues to be actively involved in the development of rehabilitation techniques and tools, as well as in the empirical study of physical rehabilitation methodologies.
